About Me

Hi, I'm an investigative reporter and audio reporter with more than a decade of experience in journalism.

Currently, I'm a reporter at LAist 89.3 (KPCC), an NPR affiliate station in Los Angeles, covering issues affecting young children and their families. Before taking on the early childhood beat, I was on LAist’s investigative team.

My breadth of reporting on nursing homes during the pandemic propelled changes in state law. My work has been recognized by the Sacramento Press Club and has been a finalist for IRE and Loeb awards. My story on a family living in their car in L.A. also had immediate impact: readers reached out and helped the family secure shelter.

Before coming to LAist, I worked at NPR stations in Atlanta and Washington, D.C., where my focus was on healthcare, immigration and state politics. When I’m not reporting, I’m chasing down my two young children.

From 2017-2018, I was an investigative reporting fellow with Reveal from the Center for Investigative Reporting. I was named by the Atlanta Press Club as "Rising Star" in 2016.
